My name is Ling Wang, and I obtained my Ph.D. degree in Higher Education from the University of Hong Kong. My doctoral thesis examined leadership and power in Chinese universities. My research interests also include knowledge workers in China, the professional development of academics, and university development. Before starting my PhD, I gained professional experience in both Chinese higher education and the Internet industry.

Beyond my research, I love writing TV series commentaries (under a penname, with several articles that have trended on Chinese social media). I also enjoy the simple pleasure of walking, a habit as Jane Austen fans know that emphasizes observation and reflection. And, of course, I enjoy a good slice of cake that isn't too sweet!
