Judy Durrant, Ms

Higher Education Lecturer/Researcher at Canterbury Christ Church University

Judy Durrant teaches, supervises and examines across a range of postgraduate programmes at Canterbury Christ Church University and chairs the Research Ethics Committee for the Faculty of Arts, Humanities and Education. Over more than two decades she has developed and led accredited programmes, consultancy projects and evaluations, bridging between higher education and professional practice in education settings. Her doctoral research, exploring ‘Portraits of teachers in landscapes of change’, was the basis for her recent book, ‘Teacher Agency, Professional Development and School Improvement’ (Routledge, 2020). Her ongoing research interests include professional learning, agency and identity, teacher leadership, postgraduate pedagogies and creative, inclusive research methods.
