Charlotte Carson is the Vice President for the National Education Union, NI. After a decade leading the Citizenship department at a secondary school in Southeast London, she returned to her native Belfast. She now teaches History and Politics and is passionate about democracy education.

In 2016, she founded the Feminism in Schools network and leads teacher training on challenging sexism in schools. She also contributed to the NEU’s It’s Not OK toolkit, which supports school leaders in adopting a whole-school approach to tackling sexism and sexual harassment.

As the NEU's International Solidarity officer in NI, she leads the union's training on anti-racism education and global solidarity.
