This is a practical workshop. Participants need to bring electronic and paper versions of any research they want to translate for users.
10.30 Using research to inform policy and practice – challenges from practice in government agencies under the Labour Government 1997-2010 – Marilyn Leask
This overview will include:
Translational Research – history and processes
Systematic reviews – limitations and solutions
Overview of the knowledge base underpinning educational practice
Knowledge mobilisation –history, theory and practice internationally
11.30 onwards individual working on summaries with personal feedback.
The goal is to have a publishable summary by the end of the day.
Registration fee is: £40 for Members, and £60 for Non Members. This includes lunch, tea and coffee.
