BERA’s Publications Chair and Engagement Chair re-elected

We are delighted to announce after an open call to the membership that our current Publications Chair, Dr Ros McLellan, and Engagement Chair, Professor Gerry Czerniawski, have been re-elected unopposed for second terms in office, securing their roles for an additional four years.

During Ros’s current term as Publications Chair, our publications portfolio had flourished, showcasing cutting-edge research of a high academic standard, increased journal impact factors, growth of BERA Blog readership, and the upcoming launch of an exciting book series with Emerald Publishing. Given the fast-changing publishing environment, in terms of open access and beyond, we are pleased that Ros will continue with her strong leadership and insight to help future-proof our portfolio into the next decade.

Simultaneously, Gerry has played a pivotal role in the development of the member offering, expanding the suite of awards and fellowships we offer, ensuring high-quality applications, and reviewing the health of BERA’s Special Interest Groups.

We look forward to continuing to work with them both throughout the remainder of their first term, and into their second terms.

We currently have opportunities for members to join our Council, this is open until 19 February and can be found here.
