Lucy Kelly is an Associate Professor in Education in the School of Education at the University of Bristol. Lucy has been at the School of Education for eleven years and, alongside teaching on the PGCE English programme and other Master’s courses, she is Deputy Senior Tutor for the School and a doctoral supervisor. Her main research interest is reflective practice as a positive tool for educator wellbeing, and she is Principal Investigator for the 'Reimagining the Diary' project. Lucy’s first book (Reimagining the Diary, published by John Catt in 2023), focuses on this area. Lucy has also written numerous articles on educator wellbeing and reflective practice, presenting her work on podcasts, at conferences and on the radio. Lucy is now working on her second book, Navigating Perfectionism (to be published by John Catt in 2027), which focuses on how educators can navigate perfectionism within the education sector.
