Jolene Carter is Director of Research and Development at Esteem Multi-Academy Trust, a MAT specialising in Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) and Alternative Provision (AP). She leads the Trust’s professional learning strategy, designing research-informed CPD that places inclusion and social justice at its core. Jolene is currently completing a Master’s in Special and Inclusive Education, with research interests spanning emotional regulation in AP, inclusive leadership, and the role of professional learning communities in driving system-wide improvement.
She leads a range of leadership programmes focused on inclusive practice and contributes to Initial Teacher Training and Early Career Teacher development across several institutions, offering specialist expertise in SEND. Jolene is committed to developing professional cultures that foster inquiry, equity, and sustainable change.
