Ngozi Louis Uzomah

Dr Ngozi Louis Uzomah, a graduate of the Geography Department at the University of Nigeria, Nsukka, earned a PhD following a BSc in Geography and an MSc in Population Geography. He is an active member of the MigrationControl.info West Africa working group and serves as the Livelihood and Food Security Officer for the refugee-led organisation Great Step Initiatives. His professional affiliations include the Association for Borderlands Studies (ABS), the International Association for the Study of Forced Migration (IASFM), the Association for the Promotion of African Studies (APAS), and the Association of Nigerian Geographers (ANG). Dr Uzomah's research focuses on cross-border migration in the ECOWAS region, the EU's New Pact on Migration and Asylum, and broader themes such as refugees, return migration, and border externalisation. His recent work investigates the experiences of Cameroonian refugees in Nigeria.
