Dr Rod Earle has worked at The Open University since 2008. He is a founder member of British Convict Criminology which he helped to establish with Bill Davies, among others, in 2010. British Convict Criminology encourages people with criminal convictions who are seeking to become academics in the UK, to connect their lived experience with critical criminological practice. Rod has researched and published extensively on prison issues and racism in criminology and criminal justice. Rod is a visiting fellow at the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE)’s Mannheim Centre for Criminology.
