Rupert Knight, Dr

Associate Professor in the School of Education at University of Nottingham

Rupert Knight has a background in primary teaching, working in schools in London and Nottingham and at two higher education institutions. He is currently associate professor in the School of Education at the University of Nottingham, teaching on a primary initial teacher education programme and a variety of postgraduate education courses. Rupert’s research interests include classroom talk; the role of theory and practice in learning to teach; teachers as professionals; and primary classroom pedagogies. He has authored two books on classroom talk and a number of publications on teacher development, including: Knight, R. (2022).
