This is a practical workshop. Participants need to bring electronic and paper versions of any research they want to translate for users.

10.30 Using research to inform policy and practice – challenges from practice in government agencies under the Labour Government 1997-2010 – Marilyn Leask
This overview will include:

  • Translational Research – history and processes
  • Systematic reviews – limitations and solutions
  • Overview of the knowledge base underpinning educational practice
  • Knowledge mobilisation –history, theory and practice internationally

11.30 onwards individual working on summaries with personal feedback.

The goal is to have a publishable summary by the end of the day.

Registration fee is: £40 for Members, and £60 for Non Members. This includes lunch, tea and coffee.
