Stella Mouroutsou, Dr

Lecturer in Education at University of Stirling

I am a Lecturer in Education and I teach on the Initial Teacher Education (ITE) programme within the Faculty of Social Sciences, University of Stirling. My research interests include: inclusive education, policy enactment and early childhood education. Prior to joining the University of Stirling, I completed my PhD in the School of Education at the University of Glasgow where I also held teaching and research positions. My doctoral research looked at policy enactment in the field of inclusive education from a complexity perspective. More specifically, I studied the implementation of a Scottish policy on behaviour support in schools exploring the perceptions of key agents. My most recent research has been looking on behaviour support approaches in schools.

I am a member of the Scottish Universities Inclusion Group (SUIG). Also, I am a member of the Scottish Educational Research Association (SERA) Executive board, convenor of the SERA Inclusive Education Network and co-convenor of the SERA Emerging Researchers Network
