Travel – How to find us

We are not responsible for transportation to and from the conference. Delegates have the choice of taking public transport or a taxi to their hotel and the venue. Coaches will be provided from various pick up points for the conference gala dinner only.

By car
From the M62: at the end of the motorway continue straight ahead onto Edge Lane (A5080 then A5047) and follow signs for Liverpool City Centre and the University. There is a small visitor car park on campus next to our building but this often fills up quickly. The nearest public car park is Mount Pleasant multi-story.

By train
We’re a ten-minute walk away from Liverpool Lime Street. Take the main exit out of the station and turn left into Lime Street. Then turn left again at the Britannia Adelphi Hotel and continue up Brownlow Hill towards the Metropolitan Catholic Cathedral – you will see the red brick building with its clock tower. We are just across the road.

By coach
We’re a ten-minute walk from The National Express coach station in Norton Street. From the exit, turn right and cross London Road into Seymour Street and Russell Street. Then turn left onto Brownlow Hill and head towards the Metropolitan Catholic Cathedral – you will see the red brick building with its clock tower. We are just across the road.

By ferry
Mersey Ferries operates services between Pier Head and Birkenhead/Wallasey on the Wirral. You can also sail between Liverpool and Belfast and the Isle of Man. Once in Liverpool, follow the signs for Lime Street Station, then follow directions as listed in ‘By train’ section.
