Call for new editors of The Curriculum Journal, 2018

BERA is looking for a new team of editors to take on the editorship of The Curriculum Journal, the Association’s highly regarded international peer-reviewed journal which publishes original contributions to the study of curriculum, pedagogy and assessment. Published by Routledge on BERA’s behalf, it reaches a wide audience of education researchers, practitioners and policymakers across the globe.

Interdisciplinary in approach, The Curriculum Journal publishes both quantitative and qualitative research, and welcomes papers that report on empirical studies and theoretical analyses from a range of perspectives, including philosophical and historical. It is particularly keen for its authors to attend to the implications for policy and practice that arise from their work, whether theoretical or empirical.

We are now inviting proposals from potential editorial teams setting out their vision for The Curriculum Journal‘s future: the closing date for applications is Friday 30 March, with interviews to be held in April and early May. Editors will be appointed for a four-year term (with the possibility of a further two-year extension), and will take up the post in Autumn 2018 to start work on the first issue of 2019.

To apply, read our full ‘call for proposals‘ document, and the accompanying ‘terms of reference‘. Please email Ross Fulton, BERA publications manager, with any queries at r.fulton@bera.ac.uk.
