Mette Nielsen

Conference and Events Manager at BERA

Mette joined BERA in March 2021. Her main responsibilities as Conference and Events Manager include organising and managing the BERA annual conference, assisting the SIGs with their events programme and managing other BERA events. Mette works closely with the Events Officer and Membership and Engagement Officer.

Mette’s previous role was with Management Solutions (Qld) in Australia as their Marketing and Event Manager, where her main responsibilities included managing a number of annual conferences and virtual events spanning three different industries: Ecotourism and Responsible Tourism, Regional Development and Public Sector Fleets.

Mette holds a MA Degree in Culture, Communication and Globalisation from Aalborg University, Denmark specialising in market and consumption.
