Opportunity: We need two members to join our Risk Assessment and Audit Committee

Can you help BERA plan for the future?

 
We are currently seeking up to two members to join our Risk Assessment and Audit Committee (RAAC). The remit is to provide oversight and advice to the Council on the effective functioning of the Association in relation to: risk management; financial processes; legal requirements and whistleblowing. The commitment is not onerous, at two meetings per year, and it offers a good introduction and overview to the workings of the Association.
 
The committee reports to the Council, but its members are not members of Council. This is intended to enable it to take an objective and independent approach to its business.
 
We would be particularly interested in candidate with financial and/ or management experience. Interested applicants should submit a written statement (300 words max.) expressing their interest in the role and what skills and aptitudes they would bring to it.
