Michael Bettencourt has held the post of Virtual School Head in two local authorities in England. He is currently supporting the national rollout of Virtual School Head Teachers in Scotland and a network of local authorities who are using the virtual school model. He has co-authored research which compares the role of virtual school heads in Scotland and England.
