Dr Manesha Peiris is a senior lecturer in Reflective Practice and Project Management and is the director of Student Experience at Queen Mary University of London. In her academic and leadership roles, she integrates pedagogy, innovation and student-centred practice to foster inclusive and transformative learning environments. Her scholarship focuses on feminist pedagogy, the affective domain in learning and technology-driven education. Through feminist pedagogy, Manesha explores how teaching can disrupt traditional hierarchies, amplify student voices and foster more democratic and inclusive spaces of knowledge-making. Her work in the affective domain highlights the importance of emotions, motivation and values in shaping student engagement and resilience, informing both her teaching practice and her initiatives to enhance student experience across the institution.
Alongside this, she examines the role of digital tools in higher education, critically considering how technology can support reflective practice, collaboration and accessibility.
