Gigi Chi Ying LAM is a musician-educator whose portfolio includes performance, composition, teaching, organizational development, event management and research. She was a community arts outreach manager and school music teacher before she started her doctoral studies at the Royal College of Music, London under the supervision of Dr. Dave Camlin, Dr Mary Stakelum,and Dr. Jennie Henley. Her research interest is developing an understanding of community music practice in school music education and the transferability of the practice to other professional domains, especially in the NCS (non-Chinese speaking) language learning context.
