As our membership reaches close to 3000, we expand our awards and funding offering, grow our portfolio of events, and nurture our vibrant special interest groups and networks, we are seeking new members to join BERA’s membership committee.  

The committee plays a vital role in shaping the member experience, providing the academic insight into our membership offering, ensuring members are appropriately supported in light of our strategic plan and wider issues within the discipline. We regularly bring new voices onto our committees to ensure a diversity of voices and fresh perspectives. Committee members have an invaluable role in the success and activity of the organisation.

The time commitment is ordinarily three meetings a year, two online and one at the BERA office in London (full expenses paid), with some contribution to ongoing initiatives and award judging required between meetings. Members of the committee must be members of BERA for the duration of their term.
