With Covid -19, education contexts and teacher educators were challenges with having to reimage placements and learning practices during lockdown. However, these challenges, now transformed itself into opportunities to reimaging the support provided by mentors and coaches post lockdown to support Teacher Trainees, Early Careers Teachers and their mentors. How can we offer support, but also opportunities to reimagine the landscape? This BERA SIG Teacher Education and Development SIG aims to explore this important aspect of teacher development. It aims to unpack how mentoring and coaching needs to be reshaped, how inductions need to be develop, how partnerships need to be considered, and how these perspectives need to be explored across the four nations. We would like to invite you to join us on the day to discuss these emerging issues, and share practice on how to move forward.
