International
BERA has a number of international projects and links with other educational research associations around the world.
EERQI
BERA is a partner in the European Educational Research Quality Indicators (EERQI) project which seeksĀ to reinforce and enhance the worldwide visibility and competitiveness of European educational research. More specifically, the project aims to
- develop new indicators and methodologies to determine quality of educational research publications,
- propose a prototype framework for establishing such indicators and methodologies,
- make this framework operational on a multilingual basis (starting with English, German, French and Swedish),
- produce a search and query engine for resource harvesting and text analysis,
- test transferability of the EERQI indicators into other fields in social sciences and the humanities,
- develop a sustainability plan for quality assessment of European educational research publications.
Further information on the EERQI project can be found here.
WERA
BERA is also proud to be a founding member of the World Education Research Association (WERA).
The World Education Research Association (WERA) is an association of national, regional, and international specialty research associations aimed at advancing education research as a scientific and scholarly field. Established on April 18, 2009 in San Diego, California, WERA aims to undertake initiatives that are global in nature and thus transcend what any one association can accomplish in its own country, region, or area of specialization. Member associations are resolved to work together to address such issues as building capacity and interest in education research, advancing education research policies and practices, and promoting the use and application of education research around the world.
Further information can be found on the WERA website here.
