Method of Payment
BERA’s subscription year runs from 1 January to 31 December and ordinary membership subscriptions are normally collected by direct debiting. Direct debits are collected around 2 January each year, so on receipt of a membership application form a cheque may be requested by the BERA Office to pay for the first year’s (or part year) subscription.Student membership subscriptions must be paid by cheque, made payable to BERA, or credit card.Where direct debiting is not possible (eg, in the case of overseas members) payment should be made by cheque in sterling (N.B: When payment in sterling is not possible, other currencies can be accepted but 25% should be added to the rate of exchange at the time of payment).
