Members of the Educational Research and Policy Making SIG and the Literacy SIG are invited to meet up at the World Literacy Summit in Oxford 14-16 April with a SIG event on the Tuesday afternoon from 2pm to discuss our contribution to the Oxford Literacy Declaration. This will cover how we as educational researchers can contribute to providing an evidence base for literacy developments worldwide. Dirk Van Damme (OECD) will also be speaking at the Closing Ceremony on the Wednesday 16th April.

Information about attending:
• the World Literacy Summit staff have given BERA SIG members reduced rate options which include residential and non residential options for summit participation for BERA members.
• These options also include 3 day, single day or event (or social) participation – the single day or social passes
• The options below will provide a hyperlink to the registration page and immediately cut through the public pricing to give BERA Members the discounts as listed below.

• The opening and closing ceremonies are free of charge and open to the public.

Notes on registration: All the packages below are specially discounted for BERA Members. The packages are listed in order of inclusiveness (from most to least). BERA Rates:

Residential Package: Standard Room

£650 incl. VAT (normally £825) 3 nights of accommodation in a comfortable room with a hand-basin and shared bathroom facilities. Includes breakfasts, lunches and 3-course dinners with wine + access to all conference sessions + an exclusive pre-conference dinner and social event on the 13th of April. £400 incl. VAT (normally £670) Access to all daytime conference activities (opening/closing ceremonies + all sessions from 14-16 April) + formal evening meals (including wine), evening social events + an exclusive pre-conference dinner & social event on the 13th of April. Click here to register
